Top Chefs React to Abeego at New York Wine and Food Festival

Abeego was honoured to be apart of the New York City Food and Wine Festival October 15-18 2015. Toni set off to the big city and joined Peter Bagi at the GBK prestigious gifting suite to give our Abeego to the top chefs.

Thank you Peter Bagi for writing this blog post showcasing our adventure.

When you think of a thriving food and wine city there are a lot of places that come to mind and none have the sheer power and lure quite like New York City. This is a city where you can have an Israeli breakfast followed by a Tibetan lunch and finished with a French dinner. Oh and a night cap of Japanese ramen. So what better place for Abeego to make a splash than at the New York Food and Wine festival? Nowhere I tell you, nowhere.

We were fortunate enough to be a part of the gifting suite at the festival where we were promised some celebrity chef introductions.  We’re not going to lie, we weren’t 100% convinced we would meet all A-list celebrity chefs but we couldn’t have been more wrong.

We’re talking Daniel Boulud - French restauranteur and T.V personality who is pretty much considered one of the best in the world.

The ever sweet Carla Hall from Top Chef, Latin chef extraordinaire Aaron Sanchez, Food Network’s Chopped judge Amanda Freitag, Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible, Top Chef Masters champion Marcus Samuelsson, Chef Michael Symon, Chef Emeril Lagasse, acclaimed actress Debi Mazar (who gave Toni a high five for creating Abeego!), and Tiffani Thiessen formally of 90210 now with her own cooking show and so many other great chefs and TV personalities.

As promised we ended up having some great one on one time with these incredibly talented and busy people to introduce and talk about Abeego.  Everyone (obviously, duh) fell in love with Abeego and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that a few of them have already been using it in their kitchens.

I don’t think it dawned on us just how fortunate we were to be a part of this festival until we had a chance to see just how many people had come to the main events to grab just a tiny glimpse of their food heroes and here Toni was able to speak of her passion for Abeego in a one on one setting. To get the kind of amazing response from each and every chef was just so inspiring and uplifting. To see Abeego go out into the big wide world and impress the likes of Andrew Zimmerman (three-time James Beard award-winner, a chef, a writer and a teacher) is just more than anyone could have expected.

So now with the euphoria dying down and after some amazing meals it’s time to get back to work and continue with our dedication and passion in making Abeego a fantastic product that continues to make it into the kitchens and hearts of those all over.
